Key portion of datetime 'UniqueName' varies between Trees

I have 2 trees that use the attribute Calendar date.

In the first tree, the unique name is in this format:

..[2004-02-08T00:00:00]

in the second, it does not have the T:

..[2004-02-08 00:00:00]

I guess I'm wondering why this is happening and also, how to make it so that both trees have the same format. It wasn't always this way, but something might have changed with the cube definition - I just can't see anything that would cause this. It's currently causing an issue in reporting because I convert between the tree types by slapping on the key portion of the UniqueName to the tree name. Having the T or absence of a T causes issues in this transformation.

This was found to be caused by relationship changes between attributes of one of the hierarchies.

key attribute translation

Hello!

I've migrated a AS2000 database with "translations" (using the naughty trick with MEMBER_CAPTION) to a 2005 SP2 database, so far, everything is working fine, translations are displayed.
But now I need to create new dimensions with translations on the key attribute of each dim and I don't see where to do this in BIDS. You can define translations for other 'regular' attributes but not on a key attribute... I've generated a XMLA script from my converted from 2K dims and I can see the translation definitions on the key attributes so I know it's possible. Question is now: how to do this in BIDS ? Any idea ?
no idea ? Sad

Keep records that contain certain attributes

Have a report that I want to keep certain attributes and as long as the report contains this certain attribute, bring all other attributes with it. Better with an example. In this report I am specifically looking for attribute "Alcohol", if I find this attribute I want to include all others that fit with this record's Primary Key which could include, "Drugs","Arson","Vandalism", etc. Problem is when I try to use a paramater or filter I get the "Alcohol" Attribute but not the "Drugs","Arson","Vandalism", etc. Conversely since I dont have any filter/paramater set I get everything even if it does not include "Alcohol"

suggestions?

thansk in advance

Hi km

I am having a bit of trouble understanding what data you are working with.
Once this is clear perhaps I can help.
Does your data-set look like the following?

Primary Key | Problem
-
1 Drugs
1 Alcohol
1 Vandalism
2 Theft
2 Drugs

And you want to display all rows with PrimaryKey = 1 (since it includes alcohol), but not any rows with Primary Key 2?

If that is the case it will definitely be easiest to do this in you query itself, not in the report.
Something like:

Select * From Table WHERE PrimaryKey IN
(SELECT PrimaryKey From Table WHERE Problem = 'Alcohol'

Cheers

thanks Mark

Yes this is similiar to my data found out that there is a unique key for each atttribute so all is resolved

thanks for your response
