How do you kill deadlock process effectively beside rebooting the sql server?

It depend upon what type of dead lock u have i mean u have dead lock on
distrubuted transaction or local transaction.
to kill the dead locks u can use
KILL 54 to kill the spid
KILL 54 WITH STATUSONLY
if u want to kill all the deadlock at a time
query this

|||A true deadlock will clear itself. The deadlock victims gets a 1205 error
and the winner just continues. Are you sure its a deadlock?
