Ken Hendersons books

Any feedbacks on these 2 books that I intend on buying by Ken Henderson
The Guru's Guide to Transact-SQL
The Guru's Guide to SQL Server Architecture and Internals : Can this be
compared to Kalens Inside SQL Server 2000 ? I already have that...I have the first one and Kalen's book and both are great. Don't know about
the second one.

available yet.

explicitly stated in the book anywhere. That means you miss out on the new
features in SQL Server 2000, like functions, and also that there are a
number of suggestions in the book that are either wrong in SQL 2000 or
irrelevant.
Ken Henderson has also written The Guru's Guide to SQL Server Stored
procedures, which is for SQL 2000. I haven't read that but another good book
for T-SQL on SQL Server 2000 is "Advanced Transact-SQL for SQL Server 2000"
by Itzik Ben-Gan and Tom Moreau.

in that it covers at lot of internals..However there is no overlap between
Inside SQL and SQL Architecture.... In any case, Ken does some amazing
things in the new book.

likely to be excellent.
